BIO

Jon has been playing guitar since he was 7 years old.

Starting out in folk, he soon branched into bluegrass and blues, and began playing in rock bands. By the time he was 14 he had played with blues and rock bands at every church, synagogue and school in his hometown of New Rochelle.

In that time, he played for and was encouraged by the great Bruce Langhorne, who played on albums by Bob Dylan, and Peter, Paul and Mary. Soon after that he played a folk concert on a bill with the Rev. Gary Davis and Carolyn Hester that was broadcast over WRVR. Jon later played with the NYU Jimmy Guiffre Big Band, various big bands, the major society orchestras, and numerous folk, rock, blues, jazz and country bands.

In addition to guitar, Jon plays saxophone, flute, keyboards, banjo and dobro.
